The Devil is in the details
Did you write something for your work in progress yesterday? I did, but it wasn't exactly a word count record for me. I got bogged down with a detail that I took time to research. The wiser thing would probably have been to place a marker in the manuscript and keep writing, then fix the detail at a later time. I know to do these things, but I don't always take my own advice. When possible, follow the advice you would give to other writers.
